who will be moving out needs to be completely vacated from the unit.
We are able to reschedule check-out times for most dates before
July 30. Furthermore, if you have vacated the unit and performed
all the proceeding tasks, you may schedule an appointment for someone
to do a pre-check of the apartment, before July 30. At this time,
the representative would inform you of any additional steps necessary
to ensure the refund of your security deposit. If there is any dispute
regarding charges during the check-out, your security deposit will
be refunded by mail within 30 days of the ending date of the lease.
1. Clean kitchen floor, wipe out cabinets, wipe down cabinet fronts,
clean and shine sinks, clean and vacuum cabinet drawers, and clean
microwave.
2. Oven and stove must be spotless, inside and out. Clean the fan,
the stovetop beneath the burners, and the broiler area. Also, pull
the stove out and clean beneath. Do not remove the broiler pan.
3. Refrigerators must be immaculate. Please DO NOT TURN OFF!! Don’t
forget to clean the seals and the gaskets. Also, pull the refrigerator
out and clean beneath.
4. Clean bathroom floors, toilets, sinks, cabinets, etc. Tubs and
showers must be soap scum free! Use a tub and tile cleaner on the
fiberglass tubs. Bath fans should be pulled down and dusted. Do
not use an abrasive cleaner (this will scratch the walls).
5. Dust all ceiling fans and clean all light fixtures.
6. Clean all windows (inside and out), window tracks, sliding glass
doors, sliding glass door tracks, and all other doors in the apartment.
To clean both sides of the window, pull the window to the center,
pull up and the window will pop out at the base. (Don’t forget
your apartment entry door.)
7. Patios and/or balconies - REMOVE EVERYTHING or you will be charged.
8. Wash all walls down with “trisodium phosphate”. Washing
with water alone will only remove the paint because you must scrub.
If there is candle soot found on a wall, a full paint charge will
be assessed to remove it. A “soot eraser” is helpful
in removing candle soot. Walls are not automatically repainted;
they must be washed. Do not spackle small nail holes. You will not
be charged for finishing nail size or smaller holes.
9. Carpets must be professionally steam cleaned, and a receipt must
be supplied to the office, dated no sooner than one week prior and
no later than the check-out time.
All keys and parking permits must be returned at the above check-out
time, or a charge of $15.00 each will be assessed. No keys or parking
permits will be accepted after check-out.
BE PROMPT!! Please have at least one signed tenant meet us at your
apartment at the designated time. It is only at that time charges
and/or damages can be explained and discussed. It will be impossible
to deliberate charges and/or damages at any other time. If you miss
your appointment, we will proceed with check-out as scheduled. Damages
at that time will be assessed accordingly and the information will
then be sent to your home within 30 days. No additional appointments
will be made.
Before, you move out, remember to put in a change of address with
the post office to prevent lost mail!
